Maybe Starbucks lost money that day by people deciding not to patronize for fear of being around
weirdos Additionally, the Facebook page has discussion about this event, so I imagine their are some entertaining comments on this page -- provided one does not get sick skimming over the comments.

The homosexual sect didn’t rush out and save Starsmucks closing of fiscally insolvent stores...why would they think they’d do anything here?

People might be curious what ever happened to the Gay/Lesbian Appreciation day.
Maybe this is not breaking news, but it at least gives a source of info for people wondering what happened.
Hope I don't get banned...

Kiss of death looks like. I would not patronize a place where such a thing was being staged.

Unlike many here at FR, I do like Starbuck’s coffee. I avoided it like a plague yesterday. When I passed by a local Starbucks, the cars in the parking lot were about half what they usually would be.

does this make them:

Starbucks Appreciation Day by Gay/Lesbian fizzlesWhat happened, did they fail to motivate a large portion of that .5% of the population who appreciates to go to Starbucks?

Another good reason not to patronize Starbucks - not that we need one.

Starbucks’s has been losing profits for months. This already diffused and fizzled gay soiree isn’t going to help them.
Judging by the number of responses on Facebook. You could hold this event in a phone booth and still have lots of room to breathe and move around.

The media tried to support them (LA Times, NY Daily News, as well as others). Celebrities also supported this event.
But it was all for naught.
On the side, Fox News supported the Chick-Fil-A because Mike HuckaBee's affiliation with them...

I love the coffee, too, but I’ve found other purveyors of this most necessary food-group. Make-ur-own.

Have you tried McDonalds coffee? It's better than Starbucks and half the price - only a good choice if you're getting 'to go' - other than that stay with Starbucks.

In one Los Angeles Times article, Starbucks was asked to comment, but they declined to side with supporting the event.
So Starbucks refused to support the Gay/Lesbian community on this, according to this article.
So I find this stance by Starbucks interesting...
