You can’t us a rifle or pistol for turkey in many states. You must call them in close(spring hunt). And take them with a shotgun or bow.

Ha..Ha...call them in! I have big Tom’s, Hen’s and young ens (during summer) all year round (yes, even with heavy mountain snowfalls) and even during turkey season. I have had as many as 20 Toms less than 30 feet from my house, and during the winter they become extremely friendly, just like pet’s and gather around and eat cracked corn from my hand.
