Obama’s point was not to return GM to profitability.
Obama merely wanted to gain government control of a key US industry, i.e. to advance socialism/fascism in the US.
Other than the ongoing embarrassment which GM’s failure causes his administration and the consequent impediment to gaining governmental control over additional private industries, Obama could care less whether GM ever makes a profit.
Profits are evil anyway. To Obama. IMHO.
