Pennsylvania is off the radar as a “battleground” state.

My vote for Sarah won’t cause a de facto election of Ø.

Who has called all Americans ‘suspect’, Romney or Obama?
Who has been purchasing in mass quantities, coffins, MRE’s, pistol and shotgun ammunition, for misinformational purposes, Romney or Obama?
Who has been using Executive Orders, to walk over Constitutional constraints, Rommney or Obama?
Who has been coddling and bowing to our enemies abroad, Romney or Obama?
Who has appointed unConstitutional executive officers, Romney or Obama?
Who has been telling us, our money is not ours, but belongs to the State, Romney or Obama?
Who was it that decided that those that made over $250,000.00, made too much, Romney or Obama?
Who was it that said he wishes to nationalize all businesses in the U.S., Romney or Obama?
Who was it that wrote in their book about “American Colonialism”, Romney or Obama?
Who can actually claim friendship, to a bomb-making, NYPD killing, avowed Communist criminal, Romney or Obama?

I did not vote for a Communist bastard last time, and I sure as shootin’ ain’t-a gonna do that, this time, neither!

That’s probably what the Florida Democrats who voted for Ralph Nader instead of Al Gore said in 2000.

Nope. Obama will thoroughly enjoy Romney’s soft socialist policies, since they will creep into the mainstream much easier than Obama’s hamfisted foolish attempts at socialism.

Wow, you really have started becoming a disgrace.

Now you are are joining Romney in his attacks on Reagan?

Mitt Romney despised Reagan and has spent five years trying to create the myth that Reagan was pro-abortion, or “adamantly pro-choice” as he says.

We have had to fight the anti-Reagan romneybots for all these years over Reagan, and now, you sign up for full membership in the worst element of the Romney supporting, crowd, the ones that try to tear down Reagan and Christianity, in service to Mitt.

“Romney is not a foreign born marxist jackass. There, that trumps all 40.”

Both Romney and Obama are admitted Progressives. Progressivism is just another form of collectivism like Marxism, Liberalism, Socialism, Democracy, et al, all of which the Founding Fathers hated.

Obama continued: “I am somebody who is no doubt progressive. I believe in a tax code that we need to make more fair. I believe in universal health care. I believe in making college affordable. I believe in paying our teachers more money. I believe in early childhood education. I believe in a whole lot of things that make me progressive.”

“I think the old standby definitions of who votes for which party have been blown away in this campaign,” Romney said in a 2002 interview. “I think people recognize that I’m not a partisan Republican. That I’m someone who is moderate and that my views are progressive and that I’m going to go to work for our senior citizens, for people who have been left behind by urban schools that are not doing the right job. And so they’re going to vote for me regardless of the party label.”

Here is the way that it happened. If you don't like the man just say so, you don't need to make stuff up. After all we are not democrats, right?

Then came the Supreme Judicial Court’s ruling in November 2003 that same-sex couples had a constitutional right to marry. In its 4-3 decision, the court gave the Legislature 180 days “to take such action as it may deem appropriate.” Opponents of same-sex marriage — citing a quirk in the state’s colonial-era Constitution that gave the governor authority over matters related to marriage — argued that the court’s decision was not binding and urged Romney to ignore it.

But Romney did not want to trigger a constitutional crisis — seeking, his adviser Flaherty said, to be “respectful of the law and respectful of people at the same time.” Initially, he struck a balanced tone with his two-track move to find a legislative solution that would satisfy the court while corralling support for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. “We certainly have to follow the law, and the Supreme Court has laid down what we must do,” he said on NBC’s”Today” show the day after the ruling. “But in my view, the right action is to follow two courses at the same time.”

But the governor quickly dropped all talk about complying with the ruling. Behind the scenes, Romney advisers worked to come up with ways to head it off, according to those involved. They consulted conservative constitutional experts such as historian Matthew Spalding, who works closely with former Reagan Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III at the Heritage Foundation.

It was soon clear that Romney could not push a gay marriage ban through the state’s liberal-leaning Legislature. So he helped persuade Republicans to support a compromise amendment that barred same-sex marriage but legalized civil unions.

Funny how all of you “True Patriots” are the ones helping obama’s reelection bid. Also classy of you to ridicule the man's religion in your tag. While I'm not a Mormon, there are many longtime FReepers who are members of the LDS Church, who've been strong conservatives, and valuable contributors to this forum. Nice that you and others feel it's OK to attack them because they share the same religion as Romney. Truly sad what this forum is becoming. I would expect to find posts such as yours at DU.

“It was the Mass Supreme Court that issued the order.
Romney chose not to disobey it.”

Close but not quite. The linked thread has a timeline of what happened. The Mass Supremes told the legislature to “do something”, without having the power to do so. No law was or has been changed in MA wrt marriage except for the old requirement for a clean STD check from a doctor, no longer needed.

Romney, or someone working for him, told the town and city clerks to start issuing gay marriage licenses or lose their jobs, using forms that someone in Romney’s administration had already designed and printed up.

All irrelevant now, we have a choice- evil, or lesser evil, just like always.

We get it. Romney sucks.
Thing is...
He’s our only viable option.
And the Obama is much worse.

Not voting for Romney is not neutralizing a vote for the Obama. Election is a war of attrition. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”; Romney may suck, but whatever you don’t like about him you’ll hate the Obama for even more.

This thread like many others recently is more than disgusting. I and most of my family will be voting a straight Republican ticket. The Commie in Chief has got to go. And with the right people in the House & Senate we can keep Romney focused on the main issues. Obama has to be defeated and soundly. Get on board or be willing to suffer with the destruction of this Nation. The time for infighting and bickering is over.

BFD. ANYONE who wants Obama to win a second term, even if it’s to “stick to the GOP establishment” has a f-ng screw loose. Go take a pill and a nap and come back in late November.
