His The Last Centurion is perhaps the most non-PC book I've ever read. Written like a really long blog post, complete with typos, and obviously only minimally edited. But fun.

I enjoy his writing, but its quality is very uneven.

Strangely compared to PoS and TR that book looks positively PC. The whole blonds in heat thing from the Troy novels has to be one of the funniest running gags in sci-fi, but I can't imagine how many of the nags blew a gasket over that.
