If a criminal can be charged with murder for killing a police dog I demand the same charges in this case.

Only trained professionals should have dogs or firearms.

So cruel, and preventable. They should be locked in a hot car and see what is feels like to slowly die.

How is it if you or I -or joe citizen leaves a dog in a car -in the summertime it is a criminal offense -but if a cop does the same thing it’s just a tragic accident? Sort o f reminds me of the Workplace incident this Administration calls the Ft.Hood Jihad via Hasan. Can anybody say no accountability.

What Des Moines Police are calling a tragic accident, central Iowans are calling inexcusable.

And they are right.

“We’re going to look into and find out exactly what the circumstances were that led to Harley passing,” said Sergeant Chris Scott with the Des Moines Police Department.

You mean that you are going to search far and wide to find some lame excuse for a K9 officer to let his K9 fry to death while locked in his car. Have at it.

Well, at least it wasn’t a human baby! But still a senseless act of evil.

“What Des Moines Police are calling a tragic accident”

Anyone else would be charged with animal abuse. And plus, they tell you that police dogs are “officers”. So there’s double the charges.

So here’s another case of selective enforcement of law.

I worked with a professional dog trainer. He actually went to a legitimate school to become one. He quoted me that on average, it cost $40,000 to train a police dog. I don’t know if that’s true, but if I were a tax payer in Iowa, aside from the horrible death, I’d be mad.

Tragic accident my ass.

Depraved indifference and criminal negligence sounds more like it.

Funny, if a bad guy kills a K-9, its treated as the homicide of a police officer in many jurisdictions. There was a case like this here in Da ‘Burgh several years ago where just that happened.

In fact they had the full police funeral, complete with honor guard, bagpipes, and the black electrical tape across the badges for a week.

Accident, yeah. It sounds like the only accident was allowing this moron onto the police force in the first place.

This was not an accident. This was criminal negligence and animal cruelty and should be prosecuted as such.

ANOTHER ONE??? Last time it was two in the same car.

The arrogant bastard responsible should be fired and sent to jail for animal cruelty and made to pay back to the taxpayers the cost of acquiring, training, medicating and maintaining that dog.

Cop behaving badly - AGAIN.
