On my regular (Tues/Fri) bank ran last week the head teller (F) and Manager (M) were subject to one of my ‘digs’ at BO, not really outlandish as I am pretty sure he is one of us but not quite so sure about her, which is the way it should be as I do not ‘socialize’ with either.
Anyway after my ‘dig’, one of them said (matter of factly, NOT accusingly) “It appears Romney only paid 14%(?) taxes etc”.
I just calmly replied, “Well, the loopholes are there for all of us, but realize him paying 14% is more than what everyone else in this building paid, and probably about equal to the whole county - or pretty close”.
They both said ‘good point’ and I didn’t even get an argument so they both are probably on ‘our side’.
I had a person tell me years ago that the CO I was contracting out to only paid 65% to the Independent Contractors (I got 72%) while his company paid 90%.
I pointed out that since ‘my’ guy had a ‘base’ price of about 2.00 per mile and his had 1.40, he was making less than I.
BUT I am getting 90% and you are only getting 65%.
He never did figure it out.
The reason ‘we’ got away with the higher price is we handled more ‘sensitive’ type material and were nationwide, while the CO he worked with was really about the same level I was at.

There is a huge difference! Clint spoke the truth and that is why the left is squawking. The bits about Romney are lies and so they evaporated.
