Shortly after the second plane came in, Ladder 118 of the FDNY raced across the Brooklyn Bridge with her six-man crew to join their brethren at the World Trade Center. Upon arriving, they were directed to the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel to ensure that all nine hundred staff and guests were evacuated. They were still inside, making sure that all civilians were out of harm's way, when the South Tower came down on top of them. Two months later, their brothers who tirelessly dug through The Pile, brought them home.
