I have lots of standing dead mesquite trees in our pasture. I prefer to dig pit, make coals, cook in cast iron pots. Dutch Oven Biscuits are the BEST!!!

I hope to get the grill and fuel tray this weekend. I had planned to bake biscuits in a dutch oven for my first project. I’m planning to do quite a bit of cooking with it. I’m thinking of making the grill adjustable for height so I can regulate the temperature. I’ve got a lot of learning and experimenting to do.

Any suggestions on controlling the temperature from any one will be appreciated.

A big benefit from rocket stoves is they require less fuel. Which means less work to collect the fuel. Although your way is a lot more flexible with cooking.
