When they said “past the tipping point”, I think you misunderstood them. I’m sure they didn’t mean nothing worse could happen, simply that we may be past the point of no return in terms of righting our country and restoring a constitutional republic through the ballot box. So, if that is true, then electing Romney may be pragmatically better but it does not address the issue of fixing our country’s deeper problems. In fact, it could be counterproductive, since a pragmatically worse situation could lead to a quicker demise of the corrupted system, allowing a quicker restoration.

You said, “ In fact, it could be counterproductive, since a pragmatically worse situation could lead to a quicker demise of the corrupted system, allowing a quicker restoration.”

But after 4 more years of the Obamination, no restoration would even be possible. THAT is why THIS election is so critical. Something might be done now but four years from now.....

Too many political purists forget that we live in a fallen, sinful world where all candidates are flawed, to varying degrees.

Conservative purists who refuse to vote for Romney/RYAN are enabling Obama.

Sometimes the wisest and most ethical move is to vote for someone who at least is not AS BAD as the other guy on at least SOME issues.

Otherwise we indirectly help the candidate who’s worse.

Keep in mind, too, that if Romney/Ryan are elected, and something happens that keeps Romney from serving his full term, we get President Ryan.

There is no guarantee there will be a "restoration" of the sort they are hoping for. And there is no guarantee they will still be around to witness the restoration, especially with Obama's death panels.
