Actually it is really just FREE coffee for National Coffee Day this Saturday but, hey, in the spirit of the Obama Phone Lady why not pitch it as Obama Coffee? Here is a list of places to get your FREE (unObama) Coffee this Saturday. Oh, and it starts early at 7-Eleven where you can get a jump on your FREE coffee as soon as Friday:

Maybe I will tell my friends tomorrow that they can score FREE Obama Coffee on Saturday. Yes, I am definitely going to do that tomorrow while maintaining a straight face. Might be hard to do if I imitate the Obama Phone Lady like I'll probably do.

The thing is...the foodstamp and free cell phone programs are basically bullet proof. Sure the receivers love them - but they have no lobbyists - they don’t need them - the lobby is built in. The “Grocers Association of America” (or whatever it’s called - Krogers, A&P, etc) LOVE foodstamps. Foodstamps are a wonderful program for them. People (with a few execeptions) are forced to buy food.

I’m sure it’s the same with cell phone providers. They are just as happy selling government subsidized cheapy phones and get paid by tax dollars for “takers” as they are selling premium units to us. $$ is $$.

Neither the Dembots or the Repubs really want to reduce these programs.

National Coffee Day is actually a good marketing idea. Most people don't like to feel like complete mooches so they will buy something to go with their coffee. Tomorrow I will probably go to a 7-Eleven and score a FREE cup of coffee AND buy a donut. See, normally I wouldn't be going to 7-Eleven tomorrow but I since I am going they get to sell a donut (or two) that I wouldn't be buying normally since I wouldn't be there.

Of course, the Obama Phone Lady would probably show up with a couple hundred SEIU pals and DEMAND their free coffee and then not buy anything else like a bunch of mooches. Wouldn't be surprised if they would also demand FREE Obama donuts to go with the coffee.

I’d call and tell the peeps that Romney wants to give them, yes GIVE FOR FREE...a cup of coffee.

And then YOUR donut theory falls into place.

Am I making sense or being typically incoherent?
Bwaaaa

Actually I know of several places where I can get FREE coffee any day I like. Sometimes I do but most of the time I am so highly caffeinated from my morning coffee sipping at home that I don’t need any more. Also most afternoons I prefer iced coffee. That’s why I make more than I can drink in the morning and when I come back home later in the day, I just pour it over ice for iced coffee.

A notable exception here is Starbucks. However, they did offer FREE coffee on an Election Day once. Wonder if they will do it again.

I order my k cups from Keurig.com because it is cheaper than Walmart. I’ve racked up enough points to buy a Keurig mini half-price for my classroom. I paid $49.97 for it and Keurig has a $20 rebate, so I will ultimately pay $29.97 for my coffee maker! Yay!
