LOL some guy working at a computer day in and day out.

I’m OK with the current season but I hate to see the Ponds leave but that’s part of the show.

What would a “believable Doctor Who story” look like I wonder.

It would look like about 80% of Tennant's work.
Or about 60% of Eccleston's. To be fair to Eccleston, he only had the first seasaon of the relaunch, and they limited the scope of the series while building a new fan base. His doctor stayed on Earth (or in Earth orbit) and only traveled to the past a couple times.
