Yes, I knew about Jenny Granholm's 1979 appearance on "The Dating Game" and saw the video of it.

Now if you had just seen her on that show back then and I asked you what the chances were that she would be the governor of a fairly large state like Michigan in the future, what odds would you have given me on that? I would have said that her chances were better as a movie actress than as a major political figure.
