Phooey on any "redemption". The depths of depravity they willingly gave themselves over to precludes any redeeming - the crime is too grievous. I would prefer
atonement, a price to be paid for their offenses against us.
The "crack whore media" is so far gone, that they are incapable of anything like redemption. George Stephanopolous, David Gregory, Chris Matthews?
Just like with crack, their DNA has been irreparably damaged by their addiction.
