What a horrible life his mother has led — first being yanked back and forth internationally between her debauched mother and her aunt. Then, she was married to that conductor who was old enough to be her great grandfather. Then, she had a long time interracial affair with somebody. No wonder her kids have “problems”. She is one woman whose life I wouldn’t want, no matter how much money she has.
I once read a psychology book that encouraged readers to make a “genealogy” tree of probems of their forebears in order to understand their own challenges. IOW, look back at dates of births and marriages and deaths to figure out which ancestors were probably into forced marriages, etc.
Poor Anderson. He probably is so mean because of his mother’s and grandmother’s and grandfather’s (a drunk, by all accounts) problems. Even the aunt who raised “Little Gloria” wasn’t all that nice.
