Free Republic is the best place to find live links to what's happening now in news and current events. For the first presidential debate I watched the YouTube live stream, and it worked well. I was going to turn it off before the post debate commentary until I was pleasantly surprised and amused that Amy Walter and Dan Harris from ABC News both felt that Romney had clearly won the debate. So if you don't have a TV or just want to watch on a laptop, check out the links below.

Thanks for the link!
This was fun to watch Obama tank on during the last debate:
Right now Biden has the most positive tweets... just like Obama did before the last debate.
One also suspects that the WH input has been "coordinating" this all along.
There are hundreds of ways to parse the disclaimer ("nobody knows the questions or the content" for example) and still be right, even though the questions are compromised. If there were a longer list of questions from which to choose, for example, such a disclaimer could still be put forth as "proof" of ethical behavior, even if the whole thing were rigged.
Consider that the current administration took such a drubbing from last week's debate, one suspects that they will (and have) worked overtime to "fix" this one.

Pray for America
Will you join me in a prayer for Paul Ryan?
Lord, I pray for a calmness and peace to be ever present with Paul.
Lord, we pray he is confident and remembers who he is representing.
Lord, we thank You for this opportunity to build up all those who are heavy with worry and confused about their future.
For those who have lost the confidence of the office of the President and the Vice President, let today be a day they are renewed in their belief and hope in what God can do when good men do something.
Thank you Lord for Pauls family.
Thank you Lord for Joes family
Thank you Lord for this opportunity to hear men speak in a free country about disagreements, yet they are able to speak.
Thank you Lord that we still have the choice and can see the light at the end of this dark tunnel.
Thank you Lord for Paul Ryan and Thank you Lord that tonight he will be David and win with a direct hit of truth to this awful Goliath Government Waste!
Thank you Lord! May we celebrate....in Jesus name!
Peace be with you!
In agreement. Amen!

Thank you for that great list of links!
Haven’t had a TV for years, so I’m glad to be able to see it live online. Biden was absurd and the debate moderator helped him in many ways. All the polls I’ve seen so far have Ryan winning it though. Great!
I see the thread title got changed from ‘live stream’ to ‘live spin’. . .guess the mod was having a little fun :)
Some interesting comments there now about reactions to it. I think the consensus will be that Ryan won.
