In 1980 I was scheduled to give a presentation to a Congressional committee the day after the elections. You will recall that was the election in which the Republicans made big gains, taking control of the House. The House was in a panic. Staffers all over the place, running around like beheaded chickens, because they knew they had to find another "employer" before the House resumed session in January. It all kind of spoiled my presentation, but I couldn't help laugh at it.
I hope we have a similar "storm" on November 6th.
