On Sunday’s Big Broadcast, Ed Walker said that when the War of the Worlds aired on CBS, Charlie McCarthy had Nelson Eddy on his program on NBC, and people didn’t much like the song Nelson sang, so they tuned over to CBS and missed the disclaimer at the beginning of the program.

I like that version of Flat Foot Floogie! The Mills Brothers do a good take on it, too.

Just about everyone had a version of "Flat Foot Floogie." Nat Gonella & His Georgians were an English band. When a tune was popular over here, it would soon be a hit over in England and sometimes the rest of Europe as well.

The original version, by Slim & Slam, was entitled "Flat Fleet Floogie".
