Why would it be a surprise to anyone that beneficiaries of racial preferences support it? It is worth hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars in lifetime benefits to them based on educational opportunities and promotions they would not otherwise have gotten. This is why a majority of racial preference beneficiaries support the the Democratic party, and by extension, Obama - it provides large and continuing monetary benefits.
