Actually “Conservatives” are in power in Canada. You are right though, the US will be Canada in that it won’t matter who wins, voter turnout will eventually begin to drop (probably 45% participation rate) because the vast majority will finally realize it doesn’t matter who wins. Nothing will be different, well, maybe around the edges. Canada is just an advanced democracy and what that means is multiple parties that argue around the edges with a population that doesn’t care, for the most part. See your future

Yeah I lived in Canada for about 5 years - it didn’t suck. Canada understood balance better than the US. The people were conservative but more open on social issues. I also really liked their justice system where you could be tried multiple times (I just thought it was hilarious)

I wasn’t crazy about the healthcare - particularly if you had a serious issue. Which is funny here because people with serious issues who want the government healthcare will suffer the most.

Taxes sucked. Conservatives in Canada are like right wing democrats here if I remember correctly.

Gonna have to learn to say “eh” alot I suppose.
