I hope each of you had plenty of family, fun and food. And so I ask you to remember there are millions of young people, some still teens, scattered all over the world tonight. Thousands of miles from home, in ships, barracks, subs, planes and bunkers, in lands so different from the U.S. as they might be on another planet. They would never admit it but at certain moments they are a little bit afraid, after all just over the DMZ the enemy waits . Certain moments they are a bit lonely, oh there people all around them, but its not like being at home with Mom, Dad and family. Or at times they are a bit homesick, especially on holidays. Yeah the mess hall had a fine meal for Thanksgiving but its not like Moms turkey and the desserts were good, but couldnt hold a candle to the pies and cakes Granny made. It not like home. Remember those who keep us safe. Just like their fathers before them and their children who will serve after them. Oh they will say they did nothing special but they are all special to us
Happy Thanksgiving to you, thank you for the wishes. And to our troops as well. Always remember them no matter what day it is, it’s always Veterans Day. One only needs to take a moment of quiet and grateful reflection to know that without the Brave there is no Land of the Free. And say a prayer for those of our troops who are at this very hour engaged in the fight defending our freedoms and keeping our enemies awake at night.
Happy Thanksgiving to all from Deep in the Heart of Texas.
I love that ... thanks for posting. ;-)
There should be a warning on turkeys. Don’t go lay down on the couch immediately after eating your Thanksgiving meal. I’m just now snapping out of that one...and now nibbling on the left over turkey.

Thank you. I spent the day cutting wood. Then walked the dog. Now listen to the Patriots beat the Jets on the radio. Good enough.
You’re welcome. Happy Thanksgiving.
I strolled in the woods and watched the sunset and ate some nice smoky steak. Not traditional, but certainly peaceful and quiet.
And God bless you, Virgil. Yes, you are remembered and appreciated. If I could I would serve you that home cooked turkey dinner. The very least I can do and probably the most significant thing I can do is pray for you. Thankyou and again, God bless. May He keep you from harm’s way.
May God bless and keep safe ALL of our wonderful military men and women...and may your votes be counted next time, and may your fraudulent CIC be thrown out on his moslem arse. Amen.
God bless our troops and all those fighting for the American way of life. Thank the Lord for our blessings.
