Why are we saying what kind of law Egypt should have? Let them have whatever law they like. Is Egypt telling us what kind of law to have?

We need to not send them any money and not interfere in their nation.

Egypt is important to us in the region and was about as much of an ally as a Middle Eastern state could be, even though it was already moving a little more Islamist. But the generals and the judiciary were still having some success in preventing the Islamists from taking over entirely. Then came Obama, who supported the removal of (our ally) Murbarak and the secular forces as part of Obama’s pro-sharia “Arab Spring” campaign.

So now the Egyptian people, seeing the Islamic noose tightening around them, are making one last attempt to prevent Egypt from sinking into becoming a complete pre-modern Islamist hell-hole like all the other states there.

So yes, this is important to us - and to Israel. But the sad thing is that a lot of this is our fault anyway, since Obama’s demented policies have put Islamists into power everywhere, even in the formerly most Westernized, modernized states in the ME.
