They already did it. For water.... Just got a misdemeanor for apparently watering my yard at an unauthorized time. No witnesses, just an affidavit from an employee. Pay the fine by mail or come to court, plead innocent and get another court date, at which time your fine goes up if found guilty.

If they can do this and get away with it, what is next?

Wow, I believe I would give them a court fight over that.You paid for that water, if you are on a public water supply. Being a public utility, they might restrict the AMOUNT you can use, but I don’t see how they can restrict the TIME you choose to use it. (legally) Now, if it is a Homeowners Ass. rule, they could probably do something if you agreed to restrictions in your contract, but I’m not sure about it being a crime?
