They want illegal invaders to pay less for college than someone from Wisconsin or Illinois.
Think about that “equality” thang

Why don’t Chip and Muffy just pick up the tab for the difference for their illegal alien pals. I don’t know why the hell they want the American taxpayers to pay for it.

All I can say is that if one of my kids were involved in a stunt like that, he can finance his own education. I’d be through.
But, of course, I spanked my kids when they were little, so I don’t have to worry about behavior like that.

I admit that I did not read the article. How about the students collect donations or funds from their parents to assist those in need?

Sorry.
I get the Atlas Shrugged dry heaves whenever I see those three words: "Those in need."

Or raise their tuition to offset the additional costs of the illegal aliens.
To: GeronL
We could fix this in a hurry if we just eliminated all taxpayer funding. Then they could let whoever they want pay whatever they want.
We can call it “Right to College”.

Isn’t Obamaland great?
Now go pay your taxes. Someone needs to obey the law. :)

If they actually wanted equality they’d demand the illegals be kicked out of the country. That’s equality under the law.

It took years, years, for the University of Michigan to classify me as an in-state student. My recollection is hazy, but it might have finally classified me as such after I graduated.

Why not flood the place with illegals and tell these protesting students that the place is full and can’t accept their applications?

The state can eliminate all the kvetching by simply abolishing in-state tuition.

in looking through these issues last Spring i could not help but notice that state funding is getting mighty thin for even the top state schools.
A lot of the state involvement goes no further than operating and repairing the buildings with all the academic costs being offloaded on the tuition paying students. It looks like foreign and out of state students paying out of state tuition are subsidizing instate qualifying students.

Speaking of college towns, I hope everyone noticed the lack of college students at the Capitol in Lansing this week.
MSU is considerably more conservative than UofM.
