The US has a shade under 100,000 public schools, with roughly fifty million students. The average annual loss of children to violent school-associated homicide is around a couple dozen, nationwide. The einsteins are trying to perfect a system which is already safer than the childrens' own homes.
Time for the emos and demogogues in the media to grow up, and time for the a-holes in politics who want to exploit the rare mass killing to STFU and quit messing with people.
