Let these sports franchises pay for their own damn stadiums. Why the hell shoul the taxpayer be forced to subsidize them?and then be forced to pay exorbitant ticket and parking prices.

You are 100% right, and then they pay some hoodlum with a talent millions per year to play for them.
If they had to pay for their stadiums, maybe then they would have to lower pay for these over priced thugs.
