How did you get that FR link to go straight from comment 182 to comment 190, without any of the rest of the thread showing?
By a Google search for “Stig Waidelich birth certificate”. One of the search results comes up:

I would guess that when someone clicks the “view replies” button on a FR comment, the FR software compiles the replies to that comment on a web page with its own url. That page then joins all the billions of pages that exist on the internet and is searchable by search engines like Google.
Although when I just tried it using BING, the “View Replies - Free Republic” wasn’t one of the results. So maybe it’s just magic.
Probably a Free Republic Platinum Club feature.
Click on the “View Replies” and when the page loads, copy the address from your window browser and then paste that address as the link.

If you want to direct someone to a specific post in a thread then click on the post number.
In your case click on #326. When the page loads copy the address from your browser and paste it where you want as the link.
The whole thread will show but it will direct people to the specific post. Saves time.
