It has nothing to do with ‘gun violence.’ At least three cardinal rules were violated by a woman who is responsible for killing her brother, not the gun. She obviously knew nothing about the proper handling of a gun, since she was playing around with a rattlesnake - a loaded weapon. She was likely drunk or otherwise intoxicated while handling the weapon. She obviously pointed the gun at someone she did not intend to shoot.

Of course, both were working on their GEDs and she can’t go to jail because her 5 children need her. Or she has an appointment to get another tattoo. Whichever is most important, or she doesn’t want her next one born in jail, of course she could give birth while getting her next tattoo in jail.
He 22, she 19, possibly just recently met or found out they were brother/sister....maybe she figured he knew.
Of course Mom and Dad can’t be deported because they would be leaving these 2 fine youngsters behind and they may get in trouble if not under Mom’s supervision.

One thing no one can do is fix stupid. The “government” now is about trying to legislate fixing stupid by making it more difficult for people to demonstrate how incompetent they really are.
Who knows if it was really an accident. Maybe she was a good shot and was just pissed off? Who knows.
