Yes, you were right. I might be wrong (again), but I think his mistake was to fold, not his prior Henry-Bownmanian rant. But then it’s easy for me to say, a cowardly anonymous keyboard warrior.
One thing is sure, though, is that Capitain Crunch is right; we all need to prepare our souls, and try to remain in a state of grace.

We should follow Glenn Beck’s plan to peacefully resist and try to overwhelm the courts if it comes to it. I more certain than ever that violent revolution is the worst possible thing we can try.
