You didn’t say that you would refuse to accept the money, you merely said that you would be well off when you retired.
I pay 15% of my income to SS, I have been paying into SS for almost a half century, some of it is most definitely my money.
It is nice to know that you are vowing to not accept a penny from them, I hope you remember that in 40 years or so, and keep your word.
It is NOT your money. The courts have ruled as such. You may consider it your money because you have been forced to pay into the system, but you are dead wrong.
