I visited my local Walmart this morning (Wed,1/16) and the sporting goods clerk told me that ALL orders that WERE in “the system” are no longer there.
Meaning that what’s on the shelves will be all there is and nothing more is coming for now. How long “now” is is not known.

I bought some ammo from Walmart yesterday. They said more was on the way.

Despite Walmart's response, for the next 4 months we will still be hearing this false rumor as the truth

Here in the East have a friend who works shipping. Says they're getting plenty of @mmo to Wal Marts all over but the demand is higher than their record supplies. Says WM is showing no signs of slowing down and wants all they can get as fast as they can.Keep it comin'! MGD's company has been working on the manufacture of @mmo because the normal suppliers just can't keep up. They have over $3mil in orders right now and are hiring 5 more people to keep up with the demand. It's stimulus of the very best kind, baby!!!

“Of course, the government already put a dent in the supply of hollow point .45s.”
The 230 grain round nose will still do the trick! I have managed to buy 12 boxes over the last two weeks at Academy at $20.00 per box.

Academy is good for ammo.

Visited the local Walmart yesterday. Their supply of ammo has gone from full to zero in 2 months. The store CS said it’s because they “don’t sell guns”; to which I said that they had sold ammo for years before without selling guns.
Today, I called their corporate office to complain and “Stephanie” told me that they are “reevaluating whether they are going to sell guns and ammo in any of their stores, BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE SCHOOL SHOOTING.” I was directed to post a complaint on their website, to which I responded that because of one nut who stole a gun and shot up the school, WQalmart has decided that I am a criminal for buying ammo. I ended the conversation with a promise not to shop at Walmart and that I would be posting their answer on the internet.

You will probably find that ammunition for the .243 or 30-’06 is much more readily available than .308 Win. You might also look at a .270, if one is available.

You’re probably right about that. I’ll probably go with the 30-06. Even though I’d load my own, I imagine brass should be pretty reasonbly priced for the 30-06.

In this present insanity, .30-'06 brass and loaded ammo is easier to find (not necessarily easy to find) than .308. Other components are pretty much the same, and hard to find.

Three possible responses...
1. The sporting goods clerk is ignorant...
2. The sporting goods clerk has an agenda and is lying...
3. You have an agenda and are lying...
I will take number 1, consider number 2, and pray that number 3 is considered only as an academic possibility.

It really sounds like Walmart is doing a preemptive caving-in to the commie regime.
