The book is solely about how the ideologies evolved, and is rock solid scientifically. The arguing stuff is somewhat speculative (even though what little evidence there is supports it), hence it being firewalled form the book.

You forgot the RINOs, but I am thinking they would either be Opportunistic Weasels who pretend to be K selected by in reality are r selected.
This seems politically cyclic. Conservative style leading to societal stability and economic prosperity creating an environment of available resources. Then the Liberal style
causes societal breakdown along with resource scarcity
resulting in a competitive mode again. This implies that solving a problem or ending a threat such as when the Soviet Union collapsed, initiates the decline of those who solved the problem and the curtailing of the rules that worked. It does seem to be the back and forth that we see

I have read through many of the posts and am familiar with the r/K proposition, though I don’t find it as compelling when applied to humanity. I have worked with numerous victims and survivors and have a signicifantly different view of the agmydala and it’s not nearly as postitive, but that’s another topic.
My question is simple, if put into proper context with those gods of logic, Monty Python:
What happens when the rabbits have guns?
I probably should have dropped the cultural reference, but I think it actually reveals a perceptual bias that overshadows an empirical fact: rabbits are more likely to commit genocide than wolves.
