If he had not said they were Hispanic, everyone would have assumed they were white. I don’t think it’s any better to give a false impression than a real one, or to cause people to mentally disparage one race simply to avoid revealing an uncomfortable side of another. And before you claim that you would not have assumed that, please remember that you are already assumed this poster is lying, so you are clearly pretty quick to jump to assumptions.
