Or 3) The thugs got to him, threatened his family...

Which begs the question that I've been asking for a few years now.

How can a General in the most powerful army in the world be cowered into submission by some SEIU union thug?

Why wouldn't that General have access to counter-insurgency special operations personnel to go to that SEIU thug and give back x 10 the threat the thug threatened?

Do we really have a paper tiger military?

.
Since the end of WW II, absolutely.

The News manufacturing industry pulled out troops out of Viet Nam after the war had been won, and before the Vietnamese could establish a hold.

What do you call that?

Or Stormin’ Norman being held back from Bagdad?

Twenty years or so ago the teamsters faced down the commander of CECOM, a two star, over ‘work place issues’ including a directive that employee autos parked in no parking areas would be towed. The Teamster local chief baldly told the CECOM CO he didn't give a F what the general wanted. Bring it on. His people would be happy to mix it up with the MP’s. He pointed out his folks didn't care about getting arrested they would all be taken care of by the union. The general however, would see his career go down in flames if a riot between MP’s and CECOM workers led the evening news in jersey. The CO blinked and the new regulations were effectively gutted.
