It could also be the start of a backlash that increases gun ownership in a major way.

I know 4 people at work, who previously did not own a gun, but since the renewed effort at gun control, have gone out and purchased an AR, even with the inflated prices. Granted, I live in Texas, but these politicians have no idea what kind of trouble they are starting. I expect the dems to lose massively in the next mid-term elections if they keep this anti-gun stuff up.

Amen! Look what the ‘94 AWB did for gun ownership. Record setting sales. It remained high when Bush was in office too because he said he would sign its renewal if Congress put it on his desk. And since ‘08 the fear that 0bamugabe would do what he is finally trying to do has made the record sales of the ‘90s look like slow business.
