What we are going to see are endless demands for fixes, new legislation, new loopholes, new opt-outs, new opt-ins, new rulings from the IRS and HHS.
It will not "collapse," as some here are speculating. It will simply become more and more hideous in an ever-spiraling mess; just like the tax code, but with your life and not just your money at stake.

I agree with you. The Utopian mantra always has been, “we need more time, it takes time to get it right, we need more control to MAKE it work, blah, blah, blah.”

I'm not even joking, much. Once the initial pain is gone the false memory will set in. "Yeah, we had to get a second mortgage to afford a bedpan for Aunt Marge, but at least we didn't have to sell the children for medical experiments like we did under Bush." These folks don't change.
