Business last year(2012)for me was up 64% on the year!
Business compared Jan. 2012 to 2013...still up 25%!

Short answer is ...yes! Even though my own business growth is great...overall picture is still sour.
Are people having a hard time finding good jobs?
Yes, people are having a hardtime finding good jobs. I have clients that have been looking for over 6 months, some are going back to school for advanced degrees instead. Not sure that is the wisest choice given the outlook, but it is their lives, not mine.
Good article. I try and tell people around me this from time to time and they don’t want to hear it. Actually my area has seen a great influx of new businesses in the last few years. Many new restaurants and retail stores so there’s a decent amount of jobs available here, not the best paying jobs but they are jobs.
But Joe Biden just said this is the beginning of the new Gilded Age. How could this be?
