I have proposed that the 1934 Firearms Act, 1968 Firearms Act and the 1986 Firearms Act be fully repealed. I have proposed that firearms education be mandatory in all schools starting in grade school with firearms safety and by high school proficiency courses with shooting time at a range.
There are two proposals the Progressives will never accept.

Perhaps it would be OK if the proficiency course were voluntary ...
But seriously, your proposal is really just a reasonable first step. It's for the children, after all ... and if it saves even one life, it's worth it.
