Texas is what California was in the 80’s.
But then...

No problem. There is a state regulatory agency to pair them up at the border, get them on welfare, and have their healthcare needs (including contraceptives and abortions) taken care of.

Texas is what California was in the 80’s.

Get real, California has never been a Texas and Texas has never been, and is incapable of being, like any version of California.

California has always been full of moderates and social liberals, not the bible believing right wingers of Texas, there was no deep, genetic conservatism to California, that is why they fell without a so much as a whimper.

California has been very republican in it's time, but it was never right wing and full of social conservative Evangelicals.

“the bible believing right wingers of Texas”

So , living in (and from) Texas and having lived in Cali,
I don’t buy your premise.

Austin is quite like California, and get away from the “LA/SF” areas of Cali and there are evangelicals all over Cali, as many as you would find here.

You are buying into the hype.

Don’t beleive everything you’ve heard.

Quite frankly, in Fort Bend County (where I live) there are a lot of Hindus and Muslims here. We all get along okay. The people who live around me are hard working, tax paying, etc....

Bringing up Austin is meaningless, even it will have some Evangelicals, and I am not buying into anything.

I know both states and they have always been in stark contrast with each other when it comes to religion, social conservatism, and being deep to the bone right-wing, and patriotic, and having old fashioned values, and having the red blooded passion to fight for those things within their state.

Texans have always fought to preserve Texas and it’s history, it fights for it’s schools, and public faith, and traditions, and they still are, California has the same problem of all rinos, they don’t have the hot blooded passion and cold eyed sureness and confidence that the left does, but Texans do.

Texas will be purple by next election and blue in 12 years, unless you want to repel the invasion.

Texas has the same exact percentage of Hispanic population as California (exactly), and with the huge red margin it has, it won’t be turning blue anytime soon.

Texas will be striving to make educated Americans of it’s immigrants.

Don’t sound so hopeful, Texas and California have been dealing with the same issues for the last 40 years, Texas merely took/stayed on the conservative path, Texas is not California because it is Texas and it deals differently with problems, and education, and in instilling patriotism and values in it’s children.
