In Texas? That there is the funniest Post today.
Texas has Freedom, Ted Cruz, a great Economy and a Population that understands Obama is the Commie Messiah that threatens the very existence of The Republic. Those things alone make Texas the place to be, but your Weather, not a chance.
Yes, I do live in Commiefornia, where the Weather is the ONLY thing positive going for this State.
When circumstances allow, I will be sacrificing the CA Weather for my Personal Freedom in one of the FREE States. Texas might just be on my list of possibilities.
I suggest Mr. Fitzpatrick contact Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina. I’m sure she would have good things to tell him.
--seriously--
The comments there and here are a hoot. Lots of people offering their states as a good place to relocate.
The way to really get the attention of state legislators is for their constituents to let them know this will cost jobs. This is one of the best ways to get the message through their thick skulls.
As a multiplier, such people can contact their friends in the area and let them know that they will have no choice but to leave if the legislature passes that bill. This means local professionals like doctors & dentists, accountants, and businesses will be losing customers they know and like, and it will hit their bottom line as well.
Optimally, those Democrat legislators in weak districts will be most vulnerable to persuasion, and if enough of them can be turned against it, it will fail.
You didn’t see my tongue firmly placed in cheek. :-)
Come to TEXAS....as long as you don’t have any bad habits to bring with you. lol
They should probably move just for the state considering it.
I’ve never understood why my own state (Conn) has so many firearms manufacturers who are *still* here, considering how onerous our laws are—Colt, Sturm Ruger, Mossberg, Marlin... History I guess.
I’m assuming the have a sizable facility in CO. Good luck finding a buyer for that in this economy.
Jacksonville, FL has open arms for Magpul.
My wife’s Grandmother worked at The Remington Ammunition Factory, in Bridgeport, CT during WW II. When she told stories of the air raid drills, of the era, you could see the palpable fear, on her face. Naturally, the business unfriendly practices of the state caused them to shuttter the factory 25 years ago. Such a loss :(
I don’t own an AR but I’ll promise to buy some P-Mags as soon as they’re available as a show of support. BTW, I sure hope Colt, Smith & Wesson, and Kimber pick up and move to a more gun friendly state.
Some of the big manufacturers are located in Illinois. Can’t remember them off hand but I have noticed it before.
Illinois is one of the worst states for gun owners, mainly because of Chicago I suppose.
Please move to Houston, TX. We have machinists who sent people to the moon and brought them back.
A vast pool of talent.
At least Les Baer was smart enough to leave Illinois.
