Just keep in mind that the vast majority of Police Chiefs are appointed to their job by the sitting mayor.
If you want to really know what is going on with your local PD, get to know some of the officers.
County Sheriffs on the other hand are elected to their office. More often than not, they understand the facts of life.
The sad fact is that he really thinks this way. To him, 0, and 99% of cops we are the criminals. We're corrupt for demanding our rights. In their minds we're only there as slaves on their tax farms.
