I don’t get it, either. But here we are.
I’m one of those “far right” types that would love to see the 16th Amendment gone along with 17th Amendment. At present, I’m not holding my breath on either.

You have expressed an excellent point that because we are not allowed to keep the fruit of our labor, which is confiscated by income taxation, we are slaves to those who do enjoy what should be ours by God-given rights.
The government gives nothing to anyone that they have not confiscated from someone else who earned it.
