What do you think about the Generac? Pros/Cons?
I like mine, but I do wish I’d bought a larger unit. Just couldn’t afford it.
Pros? It does the job powering our entire house except for the central air. It will run our furnace, which is nice. I added a Tri-fuel kit so it runs on propane or NG if I need it to. That’s what I’d recommend as either is much cheaper than gasoline.
Cons? It’s loud. So I’m building a small shed for it and adding a muffler. I have the GP 5500 and installed a 6 position transfer switch kit so all I have to do is plug in the 220 inlet to the house. It works well.
