Suppose you won the lottery and 100 million dollars. Several years later it is discovered or even suspected that you forged the winning ticket. That’s ok says the State Treasurer - “ that bell’s been rung- can’t do a darn thing about it now” - see how fast that works for you. You’d have a lein on all your property in about 15 minutes
Interesting analogy. What it’s missing is the breath of realism that has come from simple historical approaches to such things. In Real Estate they have Title companies which verify the title of the property sold. They issue title insurance, they put their necks on the line. Your analogy is missing the 3rd party verification stamp.
The birth certificate controversy was in essence stamped off by the SCOTUS. That was their job. If push comes to shove it will be their necks on the line.
