Congrats to you dad for raising a son who was willing to go through the rigors of Marine Corps. training.
As a close uncle to a nephew years back. The eyes did get a bit wet, standing in the bleachers at Parris Island.
Now your son is a member of the Few, the Proud, the United States Marines.
God's Almighty hands be upon him in the years to come.

I am a proud Marine Mom, not a dad. My boy's father thinks this is all a little uncool and non-intellectual, and he is disappointed. That is one of the problems I mentioned in the original posting that our son had to overcome.
