Are there any Freepers who can discuss this issue in terms of our laws? There are zoning rules, freedom of religion laws, etc., but is there a chance this will work here?

There are zoning rules, freedom of religion laws, etc., but is there a chance this will work here?It has been working for decades!
In Marin County CA, all the physical effects of building anything including single family or multiple family residential (no meeting spaces, no teaching, no crowds, etc.) have been used to prohibit all construction whatsoever.
Yeah. It works.
With rare exception, 7 or 8-figure awards against a city for illegally changing the zoning of a parcel after 25 years to render it useless.

Gavin Boby has set up an organization, the Law And Freedom Foundation, http://lawandfreedomfoundation.org/, that helps any local activist trying to stop the building of a mosque, in the UK and abroad.
As he went to Canada and Australia to give talks, he can do the same in the USA.
Please Freepers, can anyone work to stop mosque building in America? It is easy to contact him from the above website.

There is an American e-book that covers how to stop the building of mosques: "The second section provides an action plan detailing what communities can do about it. Land use, zoning, and various other tools that provide local government discretion in permitting new uses are summarized. A key section addresses the incompatibility of Islam with our first amendment and effectively challenges the logic of Islam deserving a protected status under our constitution. Research of the likely radical backgrounds of key individuals behind each mosque is essential. Suggestions and resources for how to proceed with your investigations are provided".
