A proposed law introduced in the California State legislature would allow public school children to use bathrooms designated for members of the opposite sex, if that students' "gender identity" differed from the students biological sex.
Assembly Bill 1266, introduced by Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, who represents a section of the city of San Francisco would:
"...require that a pupil be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil's record."
While the bill does not specifically mention restrooms, restrooms and locker rooms are generally considered to be part of the "facilities" in schools throughout the country.
The bill would apparently also require that biological males be permitted to try out for, and play on, girls' sports teams if they identify themselves as females.

And yet you aren’t supposed to exclude the shemale from the boyscouts based on their gender identity.
I can’t wait until they have to set up “gender identity review boards”, to evaluate each case to ensure that they students truly “identify” with the other gender.
I’d also love to see this destroy women’s sports. Of course, given title 9, this might be just the thing we need to get the men back into having their sports.
Imagine — if your district had to cancel wrestling because you didn’t have enough women to play sports, you just get a bunch of guys who are willing to “identify” as female, and create a female sports team. They can go win you a trophy (imagine a team of decent male baseball players going up against a women’s softball team), and then since you have another women’s team, you can have your extra men’s teams.
I think the idea that a person is stigmatized based on which bathroom they walk into is absurd. Frankly, I don’t care if someone wants to identify themselves as a different gender — it’s a free country. But we should maintain distinctions NOT based on what people feel, but on simple biology. You have male parts, you are a male, you use the male bathroom, you play on the men’s teams.
After all, the point of a “make team” and a “female team” has nothing to do with what gender the people feel like they are, it has to do with REAL biological differences. We have women’s teams because women can’t beat men, because of physical differences. No amount of “wishing” will change that. No woman who “self-identifies” as male will ever make a decent men’s team.
Yes, and that isn’t hypothetical. There’s already a case where a grown man who likes to think of himself as a female went into a public locker room, and I think in the open sauna was lying around naked, with his privates hanging out. A mother of a 5-year-old who came into the locker and saw this complained, and a judge said the man had a right to be there because he felt like a woman.
So, if you are a guy who FEELS like a guy, and you flash your private parts in front of a 5-year-old girl, you will go to prison, and be labelled a sex-offender for life.
If you are a guy who FEELS like a girl, the courts will defend your right to do so.
When law is based on how you feel, it is no law at all.
I can only imagine the room full of idiots in education sitting around thinking...What else can we do to mess up family life for Americans? Afterall we can’t teach them reading writing and arithmetic anymore!...That’s old school!

What if a student's "gender identity" is neither male nor female? Will schools be required to provide bathrooms for "Other"?
Women still don’t want to watch them pee.
So basically it will be unsafe for girls to go to the bathroom. It’s hard to hold it all day.
Maybe this will finally motivate some parents to homeschool.
