It is only dull if you give up things that are more fun to be married. Or if activities you regularly do while married are less fun than ones prior. There is no rule that this has to be the case. I gave up ZERO of my fun hobbies when I got married and added several new fun hobbies. There is absolutely no aspect of my married life that is more dull than my single life was.
