I've said before I can't control the world, or this country, or this state, or this county, or this town, but I can control my household and prepare it as I see fit. I hope everyone does that to ensure tranquility in their own future.

It seems every day something else happens that we have no control over. I remember, in my earlier long life, the freedom we had. We didn't have a lot of technology, but we had freedom from government control. We had government taxes and had to get a license to drive. We didn't have health insurance. If we got sick, we paid the doctor. If someone had a heart attack, that person usually died. If you had cataracts, you went blind.

Now, illness and disabilities can be helped/cured. That's a good thing, but we have progressed to the point, we are ants the government pushes around.
