It’s all to bring about Global Dominance in the end.....

<...”Common Core is about....an obsession with race, class, gender, and sexuality as the forces of history and political identity.”

...... is about promoting an agenda of Anti-capitalism,... sustainability,... white guilt,... global citizenship,... self-esteem,... affective math,... and culture sensitive spelling and language.

..... This is done in the name of consciousness raising,... moral relativity,... fairness, ...diversity,... and multiculturalism.

..... it’s about gaining control over the education system in a futile attempt to create a Progressive utopia using the important sounding academic umbrella of “standards.”>

I have family members who will be under that umbrella....grandchildren as well.

I already saw this in the college my sons attended....some of the things they were being taught was astounding.

My son once voiced he felt like he was in a foreign country classroom because of how the professor was speaking about America....and this during 9/11.

Much of the teachings in Colleges by professors has been very liberal and disdainful our system. This is not new. What we might have done is create an uproar for the removal of such anti-American teachings in our universities. It has been gradual and consistent, It turns most young students into Socialist, Liberals, and even anti American skinheads, etc. We have been as the song says ...” ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL” and we are going to reap the whirlwind.

Many many Americans take little or no interest in politics. Thus we gradually and incrementally walk to our own destruction.

IT IS WORSE THAN WE KNOW OR IMAGINE. WE HAVE BEEN INFILTRATED INSIDE OUR WASHINTON BEAURACRATS, AND LEADERS, IN MANY IMPROTANT POSITIONS.

PRAY FOR GOD TO STOP EVIL AND SHOW MERCY ON OUR NATION. WE MUST TURN AWAY FROM DISOBEDIENCE OF GOD'S WORD AND REPENT, TRULY.

The bulk of the American people are no longer Americans in their thinking...we see this daily.

I don’t think it’s about people asleep...they simply don’t care...if they really did we would not be where we are now.

I also think those who might speak out, and do behind closed doors, are afraid to do so...and those reasons vary.

God is already showing us mercy in that we are even alive!
The work He’s assigned us is not completed yet, but I sense clearly it’s drawing to a close as people are no longer receptive to truth...rather each to his own ...so there is no longer debate.

If you silence debate by simply accepting all differences...via tolerance and other buzz words...then the truth is no longer heard.

And BTW..God did say there would come a time where truth would not be found though it might be searched for.

I’m not trying to be a pain but other than the data mining portion, I’m not sure why conservatives are upsert by this. The criticisms in this article sound like liberal complaints when the author laments a lack of diversity, too much objective testing, and that it’s to rigorous and doesnt allow for “critical thinking.”

As far as the reading list is concerned, I’m not sure what is wrong with reading nonfiction documents like the Gettysburg Address, Patrick Henry’s “Speech to the 2nd virginia convention”, Washington’s Farewell Address, Thomas Payne’s Common Sense, THE BILL OF RIGHTS, AND REAGAN’S ADDRESS AT MOSCOW STATE. Not yelling just truly surprised. I wasnt given thos to read and I went to a private HS during the 1980’s.

They have also noted how dumbed down high school textbooks have gotten over the last 50 years. Something conservatives have been angered about as well. Apparently the reading level is going to ratchet up as part of this program.

again,, I’m not trying to be argumentative but I have to admit I see some positives for those like me who feel that high school and elementary education has been dumbed down over the years and has lead to people graduating who were barely literate. Hopefully this gets rid of the candy-assed approach where kids are given passing grades so as to avoid hurting their feelings.

One can wish, right?

My objection to the so-called “Common Core” is that reality teaches us that ONE SIZE never, never fits ALL.

Since that is true, there is no EDUCATIONAL reason for a so-called “common core”.

Why, for example, should our students ALL be “taught” that the Pilgrims were greeted by the Hispanics?

Or that America has 57 states?

Or that our Constitution means whatever our Attorney General SAYS it means?

Perhaps you think that “common core” relates (for example) to teaching the alphabet in first grade, teaching addition in 2nd grade, teaching American History in 5th grade and teaching biology in 10th grade.

But that’s where you’re wrong....

Please do not confuse what a good teacher would want to teach our children with what motivates the plotters who produced the “common core” curriculaum.

I strongly suggest you study the methods of Marxists. One has to be naive to think their aim is anything but absolute control by the State.

Yep, they will throw in a Reagan Speech, Washington's Farewell address and other writings in order to have naive Conservatives believe this is a fair and just approach to education.

Then, when CC is deeply imbedded into our education system, they will remove all references to Conservative thought.

Common Core aim is to not teach critical thinking skills. The ultimate CC goal is to have people be taught to their core that obedience to the State is the highest ideal.
